The Pig, the Lady, the Dog, and the Bird

A True Story in Poetic Measure

A property manager for many years,

Working, and drying my laughing tears.

There is not much that tricks me

And far less that licks me, but this lady took the cake.

She started with the dog, then brought in her bird

and carried on by starting a herd.

What started as inspection, became this reflection

A wrap to an unusual day.

Imagine the surprise standing there afore my eyes,

the cousin of “Arnold the Pig”.
